CCP,
Thank you so much for making the launcher that I never look at nicer...
and ******* up the game that I pay to play so that I can't play it.

Go to your eve directory ( where you save your eve files) mine is located here: D:\CCP\EVE\bin
In the bin folder, click and run the eve exefile; should say that exact name. It has the old launcher. Works every time for me. Try it and see if it works. If so please plus 1 here and provide feedback.
This does not work for everyone. You just get "Incompatible (Protocol)" on the login screen. |

Try running the repair.exe from the command line with the argument --safemode: repair.exe --safemode
Why should I have to do that. Try testing **** before you release it, and try crediting my 6 accounts that I can't play. |

You could have at least announced this so I could have made other plans knowing that you screw up the game every time you patch something. |

Can't run launcher, "No connection could be made to the content server. Please make sure that your Internet connection is up and restart the Launcher."
Can't skip launcher and run exe -áfile, "Incompatible (Protocol)"
Can't run repair tool as admin, "Errors occurred" |

Chribba wrote:Not claiming to have a fully working fix here - but it worked for me patching up my other computers so if anyone want to try go for it. If the straight exefile.exe launch does not work and showing incompatible protocol you could try this file. http://eve-files.com/temp/eve-update-20130521.zip (it's the files that got modified for me today, 50mb) Copy and while launcher will still most likely fail, start the exefile.exe straight from the \bin folder. On your own risk ofc but worked fine for me. Else many suggested running repair.exe which seems to work in some cases. /c
TY for the files Chribba. Worked for me since the repair tool wouldn't and I didn't get the files early enough this morning. |

If only it was announced.
So, its working now. Is there a reason the log off button was removed and an extra step was added to logging in? It just makes it take even longer to switch characters than it did before which was already a pain in the ass. |

You added extra steps to log in (especially multiple clients).
You also made it take even longer to switch characters on the same account by removing the log off button (something I do often).
How about making it easier to do stuff instead of harder? |
